Key Features: Strengthened with rare earth (Ce) and nitrogen (N); exhibits superior oxidation, creep, sulfidation, and thermal fatigue resistance compared to 310S.
253MA was developed based on 21Cr-11Ni stainless steel through nitrogen alloying and the addition of the rare earth element cerium (Ce); the plate material is typically produced using the electroslag remelting (ESR) process.
