Its low-carbon design minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring weld integrity and avoiding intergranular corrosion. 316L steel contains 2-3% molybdenum, which significantly improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in salt spray, acidic or chlorinated environments.
