Stainless Steel-Carbon Steel Clad Plate is a composite material consisting of a stainless steel cladding layer and a carbon steel/low-alloy steel base layer; the two metal layers are tightly bonded through advanced solid-state welding technology—the Cold Roll Bonding (CRB) process, forming a solid metallurgical bond(bond strength ≥ 210 MPa), combining the high strength and toughness of carbon steel with the corrosion resistance and high-temperature tolerance of stainless steel.
Cold Roll Bonding process achieves an interatomic metallurgical bond between two different metals—stainless steel and carbon steel—at room temperature or low temperatures through significant plastic deformation, and the material is ultimately rolled into coils. Its defining characteristic is the “double-sided composite” structure, wherein both surfaces of the carbon steel substrate (base layer) are continuously and integrally clad with stainless steel layers (cladding). The double-sided stainless steel composite design significantly enhances corrosion resistance, protecting both sides simultaneously.
