For hot-rolled S700MC steel strip, if dimensional accuracy is not specified, delivery is made with normal accuracy unless otherwise stipulated in this standard; if edge condition is not specified, the strip is delivered with mill edges.
For hot-rolled and pickled S700MC steel strip, if dimensional accuracy is not specified, delivery is made with high thickness accuracy and normal accuracy for other dimensions; if edge condition, surface quality class, and oiling status are not specified, delivery is made with trimmed edges, high-quality surface, and oiled finish; if the coil inner diameter is not specified, delivery is made with an inner diameter of 610 mm.

S700MC steel plates and strips are available with either an as-rolled or a pickled surface finish.
Hot-rolled, pickled S700MC steel plates and strips are typically supplied oiled; the applied oil film must be removable using an alkaline aqueous solution. Under normal conditions of packaging, transportation, handling, and storage, the supplier shall guarantee that the surfaces remain free from rust for three months from the date of manufacture.
Subject to agreement between the supplier and the purchaser and specification in the contract, hot-rolled, pickled products may also be supplied unoiled.
Note: Products supplied without oil at the purchaser’s request may be susceptible to rusting, and their surfaces may be prone to minor scratches during transportation, handling, storage, and use.
