2.4 mm Stainless Steel 904l 385 Round Wire is a low-carbon, high-nickel, molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless and acid-resistant steel. It exhibits excellent activation-passivation transition characteristics and superior corrosion resistance; it performs well against non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric, acetic, formic, and phosphoric acids, and offers excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in neutral chloride-containing media. It is suitable for use with sulfuric acid at various concentrations below 70°C and demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance against acetic acid at any concentration and temperature—as well as mixtures of formic and acetic acids—under atmospheric pressure.
