316Ti seamless stainless steel pipe is primarily made from 316Ti stainless steel, which adds titanium (Ti) to 316 stainless steel to enhance its resistance to intergranular corrosion. Due to the addition of titanium, 316Ti tubes are less prone to sensitization at high temperatures (i.e., corrosion caused by the precipitation of chromium-rich phases), offering superior corrosion resistance in long-term high-temperature operating environments.
316Ti stainless steel is a titanium-containing variant of the SUS316 series of austenitic stainless steels, complies with international standards, such as ASTM A240/A213 and EN 10088-3, and is suitable for the oil and gas and chemical industries.

316Ti (UNS S31635) is the titanium-stabilized version of 316 stainless steel, with the addition of titanium to enhance its resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature performance.
Due to the addition of titanium, the pipe is less prone to sensitization at high temperatures (i.e., corrosion caused by the precipitation of chromium-rich phases). Therefore, in high-temperature corrosive environments such as chemical processing, petrochemicals, power plant boilers, and heat exchangers, 316Ti offers superior corrosion resistance and creep resistance compared to traditional 304/316 grades, also suitable for equipment exposed to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and other corrosive media.
The chemical composition of 316Ti is similar to that of 316L: it contains Cr, Mo, and Ni, with the addition of titanium. The purpose of adding titanium is to promote the formation of stable titanium carbide at high temperatures, thereby suppressing the precipitation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries and significantly enhancing the material’s high-temperature strength and resistance to intergranular corrosion.

316Ti stainless steel exhibits excellent mechanical properties in the annealed condition, with tensile strength typically ranging from 550 to 700 MPa, yield strength of 200 to 300 MPa and an elongation of 40% to 50%. This indicates that 316Ti possesses extremely high strength while maintaining good ductility.
Compared to standard 304/316 grades, 316Ti exhibits a smaller decrease in strength at high temperatures and can be used long-term within a temperature range of – 200°C to +300°C. The tensile strength of 316Ti can reach 1,200–1,600 MPa under quenched and tempered conditions, making it suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature environments.
High Temperature Performance:
316Ti can operate continuously at temperatures above 300°C, maintaining superior high-temperature mechanical properties compared to 304/316 (compliant with nuclear power and petrochemical-grade temperature requirements).
Exceptional Corrosion Resistance:
After passivation, the titanium content provides enhanced resistance to crevice corrosion in chloride environments, fulfilling the demands of petrochemical and seawater projects
Welding Stability:
Compared to 316, 316Ti produces less carbide precipitation after welding, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion. Standardized solution annealing processes ensure weld quality, making it suitable for large-scale pipeline installations.
Full Customization Capabilities:
Through long-term partnerships with major steel mills, we maintain substantial inventory and comprehensive production lines. We offer bulk supply of 316Ti seamless pipes (diameters 1/2″–24″, wall thicknesses Sch20–Sch160) and provide custom services including cutting, piercing, and bending.
Wide-Ranging Applications
316Ti contains added titanium to stabilize carbon at high temperatures and prevent intergranular corrosion, providing better resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature creep compared to 316L and 304.
316Ti is a titanium-stabilized stainless steel, offering superior resistance to sulfide and chloride corrosion compared to standard 316. However, its service life still needs to be evaluated in extremely high-temperature or highly chlorinated environments.
316Ti seamless pipe offers superior long-term strength within the 400°C range and is suitable for high-pressure boiler wall tubes. However, if temperatures exceed its rated range, a higher-grade material should be selected.
