Stainless Steel 310 Pipe is an austenitic stainless steel pipe containing 25% chromium and 20% nickel, offering excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and strength. It is manufactured through seamless or welded processes to eliminate the risk of carbide precipitation at high temperatures.

310S Stainless Steel

310S (UNS S31008) is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel, the low-carbon variant of the 310 stainless steel. It retains the high chromium (24–26%) and high nickel (19–22%) content advantages of the 310 grade while reducing carbon content to ≤0.08%, significantly improving weldability, resistance to sensitization, and high-temperature strength.

Material Selection Recommendations

For equipment operating continuously at high temperatures (>800°C) and requiring welding, consider 310S as the preferred choice.

If components primarily operate at moderate to low temperatures (<800°C) and are cost-sensitive, 310 may be considered.

For environments involving strong acids/alkalis or chlorides, more pitting-resistant molybdenum-based stainless steels like 316/317 are preferred.
