Corrosion Resistance: Due to its extremely low carbon content, the formation of chromium carbides during welding or exposure to high temperatures is virtually eliminated, providing superior resistance to intergranular corrosion compared to 304 stainless steel. Furthermore, its high chromium and nickel content enable it to resist corrosion from a wide range of chemical media, performing exceptionally well in neutral environments at room temperature, as well as in media containing chloride ions or acidic substances.
Welding Performance: The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation in the heat-affected zone during welding. Consequently, it can be used directly for welded structural components without the need for post-weld heat treatment, which reduces processing steps and costs while enhancing production efficiency.
